Gangasagar is an eminent pilgrimage site for Hindus. It’s the island where the Ganga River meets the Bay of Bengal, and it’s super sacred. Every year, thousands of people from all over India come here to dip in the holy river. It’s especially crowded during Makar Sankranti in mid-January, when millions of pilgrims show up. They believe that bathing in the Ganga there helps wash away their sins and brings them closer to salvation. With a vicinity to Kolkata, pilgrims can easily plan a tour to Gangasagar. Day 1: Arrival in Kolkata

Upon arrival in Kolkata, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Ramayani Darshan Yatra and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. After check-in and some rest, proceed for local sightseeing. Visit the iconic Victoria Memorial, Eden Gardens, and the famous Howrah Bridge. Spend some time exploring local markets for shopping.

Day 2: Kolkata City Tour

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day city tour of Kolkata. Visit the sacred Kalighat Kali Temple, Dakshineswar Kali Temple, and the serene Belur Math, the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission. After sightseeing, return to the hotel.

Day 3: Excursion to Gangasagar

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and drive to Gangasagar (approx. 150 km). To reach the island, take a ferry from the mainland. Visit the holy Kapil Muni Temple, Ramakrishna Mission, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, and Omkarnath Ashram. After darshan and rituals, return to Kolkata by evening.

Day 4: Visit Mayapur

In the morning, depart for Mayapur, the spiritual headquarters of ISKCON and the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Visit major attractions including Srila Prabhupada Samadhi Mandir, Sri Radha Madhava Temple, Panchatattva Temple, ISKCON Museum, Chaitanya Leela Exhibition, Goshala, and Janmasthana. Return to Kolkata in the evening.

Day 5: Departure from Kolkata

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Before departure, enjoy shopping for famous Kolkata sarees, handicrafts, and traditional sweets. Later, you will be dropped at the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
Tour ends with divine memories.
